When you suffer chest pain, Regional Hospital's heart experts are prepared to take control, from the ambulance to your hospital bedside, making swift and collaborative decisions about your care. That's part of what it means to be an Accredited Chest Pain Center.

To receive this designation, a hospital's chest pain center must demonstrate expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a broad set of stringent criteria and on-site evaluations. Accredited chest pain centers must address eight key areas: assessing, diagnosing and treating patients quickly; strong cooperation between medical staff, nursing and administration and EMS; and implementing community outreach and heart health education initiatives.

Patients who utilize the Chest Pain Center at Regional Hospital have access to a complete range of cardiac care including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, electrophysiology studies and cardioablation.

Terre Haute Regional Hospital is proud to be the first Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers in the Wabash Valley.
