Terre Haute, Ind. (October 27, 2011) – Mary Ann Conroy has been named Chief Executive Officer of Terre Haute Regional Hospital, effective December 1. “Mary Ann is an outstanding healthcare executive and leader,” said Bart Colwell, president of Regional Hospital’s Board of Trustees, and Margaret Lewis, president of HCA’s Richmond, Virginia-based Capital Division, in a joint statement. “She has consistently produced strong results in areas that are important to any hospital’s success in this changing landscape: collaborating effectively with physicians and employees, fostering an environment of clinical excellence, and building relationships in the community. She’ll be a wonderful addition to Regional Hospital, and we’re delighted she’s agreed to join us.”
“I’m thrilled at the prospects of joining Regional Hospital, moving to Terre Haute, and becoming a Hoosier,” said Conroy. “Professionally, it’s a wonderful opportunity for me, and I look forward to working with our talented physicians and employees, who have earned a well-deserved reputation for delivering superb care to patients. On a personal note, my husband, Michael, and I are eager to return to the Midwest where we have friends and family.”
Conroy comes to Regional Hospital from Englewood Community Hospital, a 100-bed HCA facility on Florida’s Gulf Coast, where she served as president and chief executive officer since 2008.
